Classes

Want to learn something new? This simple, yet awesome looking quilt, is just the thing! Surprise your family and friends with your new-found skill. You choose your fabrics, so it will be something you love. This is a three-part class and you will go home with a finished quilt, all ready to be quilted and bound. This is a great class for a beginner!

Cost: $ 53.00
Learn how to make simple embroidery stitches out-of-this-world elegant with Ann Degener. For the first class, please bring a project of your own to work on. There will be a group project which can opt to make or not. There will be more information at the first class. Pictured is Circle Play by Sue Spargo.

Cost: $ 60.00
Please sign up if you want to participate and let us know what project you'll be bringing. Sorry, I have to put in a price, so I'm going with $1.

Cost: $ 1.00
Celebrate FABRIC with us on Saturday, Aug. 20th! This event begins at 8 am (before the shop opens). We will have a buffet breakfast, a fabric SALE, and several make 'n take options. (The make 'n takes will be $5 each)

Cost: $ 10.00
This class is for all Judy Niemeyer lovers that have projects they are struggling to complete on your own; for those that have forgotten everything you knew about Judy's paper-piecing technique; and for those who would like to meet other people that are working on Judy Niemeyer projects. Karen Caduff will be the instructor and therapist for this group. You can pick and choose the classes you want to attend.

Cost: $ 25.00
This could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn needle turn applique with Mary Silver and her good friend, Barbara Jones, of Quilt Soup patterns! Barbara has retired and is no longer teaching, so we can't promise, but she MAY come help Mary. Mary, however, is an amazing and fast needle-turner (is that even a word?). You will definitely be learning from one, if not two, of the very best! The pattern we will be using is "Utopia Quilt" and is included in your class fee. You can decide if you want to make the entire quilt or just a couple of flowers for a pillow or table topper.

Cost: $ 50.00
Another Simple Whatnots club is starting with Kim Diehl's lastest fabric collection: Right as Rain. At each monthly meeting we'll feature one of 8 small quilts, share Show & Tell (which can be anything) and have yummy refreshments. Join us for our old-fashioned Sewing Club.

Cost: $ 40.00
If you love scrappy, you'll love quilt! What could be cuter than scrappy stars and low volume prints? Between her alternate "hashtag" blocks and the stars, there's lots of eye-candy to look at. The pattern is designed by Gigi's Thimbles, a local company. We will have a kit with lots of our cute fabrics, but of course, you can always add in some of your favorite scraps.

Cost: $ 46.00
Join the club and finish six UFO's (UnFinished Objects/Projects) this year! We all have those UFOs on our sewing tables, or folded up in a stack beside the sewing table, or tucked away in a bag in the linen closet, or stored in a tub in the basement. Projects that came to a grinding halt for one reason or another. Now's your chance to finish a few of them!

Cost: $ 36.00
Once again the Wild Woolie Women will be starting a new project for the year. Choose from the afternoon or evening sessions. This is a great club that has been meeting for several years and many friendships have been made. We'd love to welcome new members who enjoy working with wool. There will be an optional small project each month, OR you can just bring projects from home that you want to finish up. It's a great way to visit with awesome women as you sit and stitch.

Hint:  When looking to purchase a book on-line, if you go to the publisher and type in the title, you can generally see all the projects in the book.  For example:  Shopmartingale.com, or C&T Publishing.  (Patchwork Place books are part of Martingale Publishing.)
